The common depiction of Norse valkyries is beautiful and fair ladies whose only job is to bring fallen Vikings to Odins Valhalla or Freyas Folkvang. However, some sources describe them more like female warriors directly taking part in the battles. My Valkyrie drawn here would much rather be down there fighting than bring some old bodies up to Valhalla.
